Sew-In
The Secure Foundation
Imagine building a strong and lasting foundation for your extensions. That’s what a hand-tied and sew-in does.
The Process: The hair is anchored into sections secured in a bead, and then wefts of extension hair (which come in long strips) are sewn directly onto these beads using a needle and thread.
Look and Feel: Hand-tied and sew-ins are known for being very secure and can significantly transform length and volume. Because the wefts are sewn in, they lay flat against your head, contributing to a natural blend.
Durability: This method is quite durable and can withstand extensive styling. You can treat them like your own hair when it comes to washing and styling.
Maintenance: As your natural hair grows, the wefts will loosen, and the extensions will move further away from your scalp. We recommend a “move-up” appointment every 10-12 weeks. During this appointment, the extensions are removed, the beads are redone, and the wefts are re-sewn closer to your scalp.
Considerations: Hand-tied and sew-in options are excellent choices for many hair types. However, keeping your scalp clean and moisturized underneath the wefts is crucial to prevent discomfort or issues.
