The Process: K-tip extensions are individual hair strands with a keratin-based tip. This tip is bonded to separate strands of your natural hair using a specialized heat tool. The keratin creates a strong and secure bond.

Durability: K-tip extensions are the longest-lasting of these three methods. Their bonds are quite strong and can withstand regular washing and styling.

Maintenance: Unlike sew-ins and tape-ins that get “moved up” K-tip extensions are typically installed and then left in place to grow out with your natural hair. Because of this, they don’t require move-up appointments in the same way. Instead, a new set of K-tips is usually recommended every 12-14 weeks as the attached hair has grown out significantly.
